Bulldog Men's Golf Raises Another Spot on GCAA Bushnell Poll to Tied-for-22nd

The No. T-22 University of Redlands golf team continues to rise on the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Bushnell Golfweek poll up from 23 to 22 this week.

Behind a medalist performance from sophomore Joshua Fambro (Taos, NM) the team recently took second place at the 2021 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships from Sunday, April 25, to Tuesday, April 27. The Bulldogs shot a 912, just two strokes behind first.

Fambro led the team with his first-place finish with a score of 224 (73-74-77) through 54 holes. His 74 was the lowest score amongst all competitors on day two. Additionally, he ranks 25th on Golfstat with an adjusted scoring average of 73.54.

Junior Kyle Sharp (Laguna Beach, CA) also lands amongst the best of the best taking the 38th spot in Division III with a 74.17 adjusted scoring average.

Redlands now hopes for an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championships, which will take place in Wheeling, West Virginia, from May 11-14. The announcement will be made on Monday, May 3.
