U of R Men's Golf Rises to No. 21 on NCAA Division III National Rankings

It was recently announced that the University of Redlands men's golf team rose a spot on the NCAA Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll from No. 22 to No. 21 for their stellar performance at last weekend's tournament.

Bulldog men's golf secured top team honors at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) No. 1 Tournament at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura. The team registered a two-day score of 585 with a 17-stroke lead over second place.

Junior Kyle Sharp (Laguna Beach, CA) and sophomore Joshua Fambro (Taos, NM) took first and second place with scores of 140 and 141, respectively. Sharp shot a one-under-par 71 on day one and then carded a round of three-under-par 69 on Sunday to capture the top spot. Due to his impressive display, Sharp was named SCIAC men's golfer of the week.

The Bulldogs look forward to competing in the Cal Lutheran Kingsmen Invitational on Monday, March 15, and Tuesday, March 16, at Moorpark Golf Course.
