Senior Alex Stroes and Junior Jake Hollander Named to the GCAA All-Region Team

It was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) that senior Alex Stroes (San Marcos, CA) and junior Jake Hollander (Peterborough, NH) have been named to the NCAA Division III PING All-West Region team for the first time in their respective careers. A total of 98 players across six regions were selected.

According to GolfStat, Stroes is currently tied for 40th in Division III with a 73.40 average for the season. Stroes also ranks 24th in par-four scoring with a 4.11 average. At the Marymount Fall Invite, Stroes matched his career-low round of 67 for a sixth-place total of 214.  His consistent play has landed him in the 70s in all but one other round this season.

Hollander boasts a season average of 73.57, which ranks 51st in the nation. In addition to ranking 28th in par-three scoring with a 3.14 average, Hollander owns three eagles and 66 birdies this season, which is tied for 12th and eighth in Division III, respectively. After posting a season-low round of 66 en route to medalist honors at the Marymount Fall Invite, he finished atop the leaderboard during the opening conference tournament with a 36-hole total of 142 (70-72).
