Director of Athletics Jeff Martinez shared that Jamie Zantua has accepted the opportunity to become the Head Men's Golf Coach at the University of Redlands, effective immediately. After serving as the Bulldogs' Assistant Coach since 2016, Zantua seamlessly transitions into this new role while maintaining his position of Assistant Golf Professional at Redlands Country Club.

"I am excited and blessed about the opportunity to be the Head Men's Golf Coach at the University of Redlands. I know my expertise and knowledge of the game of golf will allow me to help make this program even stronger. More importantly, I hope to provide a memorable experience for our student-athletes," Zantua said.

Zantua brings nearly 12 years of working, teaching, and coaching in the golf industry. Currently a registered PGA Apprentice, he is on his way to becoming a PGA Member through additional education and training. He strives to become a certified PGA Professional while sharing his love for the game of golf.

As the Bulldogs' Assistant Coach, Zantua scheduled practice rounds, ran qualifiers to determine the top players for upcoming tournaments, and managed on-course competition with the team. At Redlands Country Club, he assists the Head Golf Professional with daily operations, including the organization of member events, providing daily instruction, and leading clinics.

Prior to making the move to the Redlands area, Zantua worked with the Coyotes of Cal State San Bernardino as the Assistant Men's Golf Coach. He also gained experience as the Assistant Golf Professional at Arrowhead Country Club.

Zantua and the Bulldog men's golf team look forward to competing later this fall.
