No. 22 Redlands Men's Golf Battles through Challenges at Sacramento State Intercollegiate

The No. 22 University of Redlands men's golf team took on the rain-soaked grounds at the Valley Hi Country Club during the Sacramento State Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, earning a ninth-place score of 921 (305-313-303) amidst various NCAA Division I and II foes.

Freshman Rowan Foxley (Arlington, WA) served as the Bulldogs' top golfer, finishing tied-for 31st with a 54-hole tally of 227 (77-75-75).  He also led the team with 35 pars while scoring 4.17 on the par-four holes.

After hitting a 73 in the opening round, senior John McCord (Oakland, CA) signed his scorecard with a total of 230.  He finished the tournament with an 81 and 76 to tie for 39th overall.

Sophomore Joseph Kuehn (Eugene, OR) and freshman Cade Lawson (Lake Oswego, OR) closely followed in the standings by landing among the top 50 with respective scores of 231 and 233.  Kuehn knocked in eight birdies over the course of the three rounds.

Freshman Jake Kasel (Park City, UT) completed the Bulldogs' scorers with his total of 271.

Redlands takes on Calvin College in a dual-match on Thursday, March 17, at the Redlands Country Club, beginning at 2 p.m.
