Redlands Men's Basketball Excels in the Classroom with Team and Individual Honors from NABC

It was recently announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that the University of Redlands men's basketball program received the 2019-20 Team Academic Excellence Award for the Bulldogs' diligence in the classroom. In addition, five men's basketball student-athletes represented the Maroon and Gray among the 2019-20 NABC Honors Court for scholarly success. Seniors forward David Menary (Grass Valley, CA) and guard Thomas Scriven (Anaheim, CA), junior guards Vincenzo Ferrari (Burlingame, CA) and Jack Roggin (Toluca Lake, CA) and junior wing Gary Menary (Grass Valley, CA) each exceeded the cumulative GPA requirement of 3.2 while in their junior or senior year at Redlands.

As one of more than 300 colleges and universities to receive this honor, the Bulldogs met the criteria for the Team Academic Award by earning a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2019-20 campaign.

Additionally, the sizable NABC Honors Court includes more than 1,350 student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, and III schools, as well as NAIA institutions from around the country.

D. Menary and Scriven recently completed their degrees in Business Administration and History, respectively, while Roggin, Ferrari, and G. Menary look forward to graduating next year.

Redlands joins fellow Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) members Caltech, the University of La Verne, and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges among the elite list.
