Senior Forward David Menary Claims SCIAC Men's Basketball Defensive Athlete of the Week after the Team's Sixth Straight Win

After helping the University of Redlands men's basketball team to their sixth consecutive victory, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) named senior forward David Menary (Grass Valley, CA) the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Menary came up huge on the defensive end in an important 2-0 week for the Bulldogs over Chapman and Caltech. He snagged 16 rebounds including six on the offensive end. He also swiped two steals and put up two blocks. Menary did work on both ends of the court, adding 32 points over the two games.

For the season, Menary leads the team with 1.1 blocks and averages a steal per game, in addition to pacing the Bulldogs with 14.1 points per game. He also is currently fifth in the conference with 1.1 blocks per game.
