The University of Redlands matched a season-high 16 three-pointers to take down Whittier College, 105-86, in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action on Saturday night.

After first-year forward Griffin Barker (Kirkland, WA) started the Maroon and Gray's three-point barrage with a trey just over a minute in, senior guard Hass Berry (Riverside, CA) caught fire with three unanswered triples in less than a minute, to help build a 14-2 lead for Redlands with 17:00 still left in the half.

Less than two minutes later, junior guard Jack Roggin (Toluca Lake, CA) stepped behind the arc for a trey after an offensive board from junior forward Parker Landolf (Alamo, CA) to extend the lead to 22-7. Later in the half, Roggin scored five consecutive points, including another three-pointer for a 34-10 advantage with 11:44 remaining in the half.

Over the next several minutes, the Poets slimmed their deficit down to 17, but the Bulldogs looked to the perimeter for the answer, as three-pointers from Berry and Landolf put the Maroon and Gray back up by 54-32. Before the half was over, Roggin connected on his third trey to send Redlands into the break with a 59-39 advantage.

Roggin went right back to work with another three-pointer on the Bulldogs' first possession of the half. Barker also picked up where he left off with a converted and-one, followed by a three-pointer, to put Redlands up, 68-44 with 17:37 left to play.

At the 13:20-mark, Roggin knocked down a deep-ball to give the Bulldogs their largest lead of the game at 77-51. The Maroon and Gray strapped down on the defensive end by only allowing nine more points for the remainder of the game while draining three more treys to cruise to a 105-86 victory.

Five different players notched double-digits, led by Roggin with 24 points and a 6-for-9 clip from downtown. He also contributed seven rebounds, six assists, and a steal. Berry also went 6-for-8 from deep on his way to 23 points, three assists, and two steals, while Barker registered a double-double with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and five dimes. Landolf added 12 points off the bench in 14 minutes.

As a team, the Bulldogs shot 50% from the three-point line on 16-for-32 shooting and 50% from the field on 37-for-74 shooting. They also won the assists battle, 31-12.

Redlands (11-6, 4-4 SCIAC) looks to carry their momentum on the road to face Cal Lutheran University on Saturday, February 1, at 2 p.m.
