Junior Forward David Menary Powers his Way to SCIAC Men's Basketball Offensive Athlete of the Week

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced earlier today that junior forward David Menary (Grass Valley, CA) garnered Men's Basketball Offensive Athlete of the Week honors. Menary helped lead the University of Redlands to a 2-0 week to clinch the fourth spot in the upcoming SCIAC Postseason Tournament.

Menary continued to display an all-around game with averages of 19.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.5 steals in the Bulldogs' two victories last week. In the 96-74 win over Cal Lutheran University, he stuffed the stat sheet with 22 points, eight boards, four assists, and two steals in 28 minutes. He then scored 16 points to go along with five rebounds, five rebounds, and three steals in a 62-51 victory over Caltech.

With one more game remaining in the regular season, Menary currently sits third in the conference with 19.7 points per game. He also ranks eighth as one of the most efficient shooters in the SCIAC with a 53.4% clip.
