Brendan Marmion named SCIAC Specialist of the Week

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Football Athletes of the Week in the tenth week of voting and University of Redlands senior kicker Brendan Marmion (Aliso Viejo, CA) was selected as the SCIAC Specialist of the Week for the first time in his career.

Brendan becomes the sixth Bulldog this season to be recognized as a SCIAC Athlete of the Week and the third to earn SCIAC Specialist of the Week honors.  He joins Evan Aguon (San Diego, CA), Andrew Kellstrom (San Bernardino, CA), Vicente Garcia (Fontana, CA), Tyler Tremain (Folsom, CA), and Craig Hunter (Murrieta, CA) who were recognized here in 2022.     

Marmion took part in his final game as a Bulldog Saturday and handled field goals and kickoff duties in their 58-14 win over Whittier College.  He provided seven extra points and a field goal of 30-yards accounting for ten points for the Maroon and Grey.  He also totaled nine kickoffs combining for 567 yards, six of which were touchbacks. 

Redlands finishes the season 4-6, 4-2 SCIAC picking up wins over Cal Lutheran University, University of La Verne, Pomona-Pitzer and Whittier College.
