D3football.com Team of the Week

REDLANDS, Calif. – Junior punter/kicker Vicente Garcia (Fontana, CA) of the University of Redlands Football team has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week following a stellar performance on special teams against Chapman University this past Saturday.

The recognition is the first for Garcia who joins former Bulldogs Nathan Hierlihy (K-2017), Kevin Grady (K-2012), and Wes Norris (P-2010) as the only punters/place kickers to be selected since 1999.

Garcia totaled six punts for a combined 278 yards, averaging 46.3 yards-per-punt.  He had a long for 60-yards along with two fair catches and a touchback.  He also provided four extra points.           

The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 24th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week.

Redlands enters Homecoming Week as they prepare for the University of La Verne this Saturday, October 22 beginning at 7:05pm.
