Senior Tight End Blake Roy Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced that senior tight end Blake Roy (Camas, WA) represents the University of Redlands among the prestigious Academic All-America Division III Football Team for the first time. Roy is the only representative from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) to be selected.

During the Bulldogs' first nine-win season that culminated in an at-large bid to the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, Roy provided consistency and dynamism to the offense. He served as the Bulldogs top receiver with 27 catches for 253 yards and five touchdowns while playing in nine games. He averaged nearly 10 yards per catch and 25.3 yards per game.

Academically, Roy impresses with a spectacular grade-point average as a Business Administration major.  Roy was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team in 2018 and 2019 and expects to haul in his fourth-consecutive spot on the SCIAC All-Academic Team as well. He looks forward to graduating in April.
