Senior Offensive Lineman Christian Godina Shines as Two-Time CoSIDA Academic All-American

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced that senior offensive lineman Christian Godina (Phoenix, AZ) represents the University of Redlands among the prestigious Google Cloud Academic All-America Division III Football Team for the second year in a row.  Godina is one of 11 repeat honorees among the 25-person First Team.

During the Bulldogs' 8-2 season that culminated in a share of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) title, Godina provided consistency and tenacity to the offensive line.  He helped Redlands to amass more than 3,800 yards of total offense, which included 2,163 rushing yards.  While averaging 4.7 yards per carry, the Maroon and Gray registered 125 first downs and 18 touchdowns through its tough ground attack.   In addition, Godina supported the team's red-zone conversion rate of 78%.

Academically, Godina impresses with a near-perfect grade-point average as a Biology major.  This likely four-time Redlands Scholar-Athlete expects to haul in his fourth-consecutive spot on the SCIAC All-Academic Team as well. He looks forward to graduating in April.
