Bridges Tabbed SCIAC Pitcher of the Week

After taking both games of Saturday's doubleheader against 19th-ranked Chapman University, the University of Redlands baseball team earned the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Pitcher of the Week, with senior Cal Bridges (Fremont, CA) securing the honor for the Bulldogs.

While facing 11 batters, Bridges threw three innings to reel in the save in the Maroon and Gray's 19-12 victory, which completed the series win over the Panthers.  He allowed zero runs and zero hits while walking one and striking out one to help the Bulldogs' cause.

Redlands snagged the day's opening contest on a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning.  Bridges provided two hits and one RBI as the team's right fielder in that game.

In addition, this was the first time under Head Coach Aaron Holley that the Bulldogs won both games of the conference doubleheader against Chapman.
