The University of Redlands and Bulldog Athletics would like to take a moment to celebrate the three baseball seniors whose spring season was sadly cut short due to the swiftly changing conditions of the current time.
This talented group of seniors has contributed in different ways over the last two and four years, culminating in 84 wins, including 33 in 2018, which marked the winningest season in Redlands history. These seniors have had their hand in 47 conference wins, two SCIAC Postseason Tournament appearances, and an NCAA West Regional Tournament bid in 2018.
First, we honor a two-year contributor who has served as a reliable reliever while tallying six appearances. He has pitched 10 innings while striking out nine batters. In addition to only giving up two runs and four walks, he owns a career ERA of 1.80. This senior will graduate with a degree in Sociology. Hailing from Monterey Park, California, #15 Tony Rosario!
Our next senior has gained time in 35 games over his two years with the Maroon and Gray. Serving as an outfielder for the Bulldogs, he has registered 30 putouts and one assist for a career fielding percentage of .939. Overall, he owns a .130 batting average with six hits along with five RBI. He has drawn four walkouts and swiped one bag. After transferring to Redlands from San Diego City College, he plans on graduating this spring with a degree in Art. #1 Joey Wozniak!
Finally, it's time to recognize a four-year hurler who has racked up 70 innings pitched in 25 appearances with 11 starts and five wins credited to his name. He now owns a career ERA of 6.53. He enjoyed a breakout sophomore season only giving up nine hits in 17 innings pitched for a career-low 3.18 ERA. This Bulldog arrived from Oceanside and is set to graduate with a degree in Business Administration. #10 Michael Rishebarger!
