Sharp and Jugar Win SCIAC Golfers of the Week Awards for Second Time This Season

Junior Kyle Sharp (Laguna Beach, CA) took the top spot at the Bulldog Classic at the S Club in Rancho Mirage on Saturday and Sunday to pace the No. 24 Redlands men's golf team to a first-place win of 590. Sharp led the field of 16 golfers with a pair of one-under-par 71 performances en route to an overall total of 142 over the 36 holes. He also co-led the field shooting minus-one on par fours while also registering 24 pars.

Sophomore Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA) helped guide the top-ranked Bulldog women's golf team to a 596, first-place finish at the Bulldog Classic. Jugar clinched individual medalist honors finishing Saturday's round with a two-under-par 70, followed by a one-over-par 73 on Sunday for a 36-hole score of 143 - just one stroke ahead of the second-place finisher from UC Santa Cruz. Jugar shot a minus-two on par twos and minus-four on par fives to lead the competition.
