Tori Zielinski named SCIAC Women’s Water Polo Defensive Athlete of the Week

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Women's Water Polo Athletes of the Week in the seventh week of voting and University of Redlands junior goalie Tori Zielinski (Sunnyvale, CA) was named the SCIAC Women's Water Polo Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career. 

Zielinski led the University of Redlands to a 3-1 week during the Claremont Convergence, which included wins over Carthage (21-1), Augustana (13-7), and Macalester (14-8).  The Bulldogs' lone loss coming to Division III No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer. Over the four games, Zielinski played all 128 minutes between the pipes, totaling 36 saves, two steals, and an assist. She picked up 13 saves against Augustana and 12 saves against Macalester to highlight the effort during the stretch.

Redlands has a pair of SCIAC match-ups, both on the road this Saturday, March 12.  They begin the day taking on Caltech (11:00am) and will then travel to the University of La Verne for the make-up game (3:30pm), which was postponed from February 23.
