Redlands Duo Gains ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention

The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) recognized the top women's water polo players with the 2021 NCAA Division III All-America selections, which included junior attacker Holly Kvanvig (Beaverton, OR) and sophomore attacker Katrina Nielsen (Houston, TX) as Honorable Mentions from the University of Redlands.

The dynamic duo adds to its All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) laurels from a month ago.  As the top two scorers for the Bulldogs, Kvanvig and Nielsen accounted for nearly half of the team's goals with 20 of the 45 coming between them.

As a balanced and effective competitor, Kvanvig tallied 13 points on offense and drew six exclusions on defense to rank first among the team in each category.

Nielsen impressed with her .600 shooting percentage by converting nine of her 15 shots into goals.  She also shouldered the sprint responsibilities and won all 15 of her opportunities.
