It was announced earlier today by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) that 14 members of the University of Redlands women's team collected All-Academic recognition for their success in the classroom during the 2018-19 school-year.  In addition, the Bulldogs ranked eighth among all team recipients for collectively exceeding the minimum grade-point average of 3.00.  As a group, they own a 3.47 GPA.

The ACWPC All-Academic list includes individuals over three categories of scholarly achievement based on GPA, including "outstanding" (4.0-3.71), "superior" (3.70-3.41), and "excellent" (3.40-3.20).

The Bulldogs hauled in six "outstanding" awards, seven "superior" nods, and one "excellent" honor in an impressive showing.

Senior attacker Wendy McAleer (Simi Valley, CA), who recently earned a scholarly honor for swimming, reels in her fourth consecutive "outstanding" accolade for water polo.  Senior center Kolby Kahahawai (Kailua, HI) repeats as an "outstanding" recipient for her fourth overall award.  In addition, junior attacker Courtney Gray (Yucaipa, CA) becomes a three-time member of the "outstanding" team through the ACWPC, while sophomore defender Jena Suzuki (Wailuku, HI) and sophomore attacker Kelly Klish (Glenview, IL) earn back-to-back plaudits.  Finally, first-year attacker Holly Kvanvig (Beaverton, OR) collects her inaugural "outstanding" nod in her first year with the Bulldog women's water polo team.

After three "outstanding" selections, senior attacker Sami Walker (Taylorsville, UT) becomes a four-time honoree with this year's spot among the "superior" list.  Senior attacker Katelyn Jenkins (Bellevue, WA) repeats as a "superior" recipient for her third overall award, while senior goalkeeper Kelly Grosswendt (Newbury Park, CA) elevates her academic status from "excellent" to "superior" for her third honor in her final season. Sophomore center Alina Waldo (Portland, OR) also climbs into the "superior" category for her second such selection.  Furthermore, first-year attackers Ally Feeley (Menlo Park, CA) and Kayla Takakura (Wailuku, HI), and junior attacker Hunter Olivier (Indio, CA) each gain "superior" status for their inaugural accolades.

Sophomore defender Sarah Draves (Fallbrook, CA) completes the formidable 14 for the Maroon and Gray as an "excellent" honoree for the second year in a row.
