Junior Attacker Hunter Olivier Named SCIAC Women's Water Polo Defensive Athlete of the Week

For the second week in a row, the University of Redlands gained the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Water Polo Defensive Athlete of the Week honor. This time, junior attacker Hunter Olivier (Indio, CA) hauled in the accolade for the Bulldogs after their 3-2 showing during the week of February 25-March 3.

Olivier pestered opposing teams throughout the week with 10 steals and three exclusions drawn. In a 7-5 win over McKendree University (IL), she tallied five steals and drew one exclusion. She also registered a field block against Siena College (NY) in a fine effort.

On the other end of the pool, she tallied seven goals and one assist.

Olivier follows in the footsteps of senior goalkeeper Kelly Grosswendt (Newbury Park, CA), who was named the Defensive Athlete of the Week seven days ago.
