Dynamic Duo Represents Redlands among the ACWPC Women’s Division III All-America Team

Kolby Kahahawai and Katelyn Jenkins earned All-America nods from the ACWPC.

The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the members of the 2018 Women's Division III All-America Team, which includes a pair of University of Redlands Bulldogs.  Junior center Kolby Kahahawai (Kailua, HI) represents the Maroon and Gray on the Second Team, while junior attacker Katelyn Jenkins (Bellevue, WA) received Honorable Mention.

On the heels of her second-consecutive All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) award, Kahahawai becomes a first-time selection to the ACWPC All-America Team.  While constantly under defensive pressure, she led the Bulldogs with 32 goals and dished out three assists for 35 points.  She also racked up 13 steals, six field blocks, and 16 drawn ejections.

Jenkins made a seamless move from goalkeeper to field player in her third season with the Bulldogs.  In doing so, she impressed as the team's leading point-scorer with 38, which came off 29 goals and nine assists during the Bulldogs' 8-21 season.  Her speed and strength allowed her to win most of her sprints with an 11-for-13 showing.  She also drew eight ejections and snagged 12 steals.
