It was announced earlier today that the University of Redlands women's volleyball team was among a record-breaking 1,313 teams to earn the United States Marine Corps (USMC)/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for scholarly success in 2019-20.
Initiated in 1992-93, this honor recognizes collegiate and high school volleyball teams that maintained a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) throughout the year. The Bulldogs are among 231 NCAA Division III schools on the list of honorees.
The Maroon and Gray garner the distinction for the sixth year in a row, with the last five coming under Head Coach Lisa Lindberg. This year's 17-woman roster combined for a 3.40 GPA over the two semesters.
