While utilizing every available player, the University of Redlands women's volleyball team returned to the win column with a dominating 25-9, 25-10, 25-17 victory over visiting Mills College on Sunday morning in Currier Gym.

The Bulldogs jumped out to early leads in each of the sets, thanks in part to effective serving.  During the match, freshman libero Lauren Lux (San Jose, CA) fired off eight service aces and countless other Bulldog points, while sophomore outside hitter Kaylee Burdick (Sun Valley, CA) notched six aces from the back line.

Redlands also put together a hitting percentage of .242 with three different players running the offense.  Senior setter Ellie McLeod (Redlands, CA) earned the started and directed a .435 showing in the first set by dishing out 12 assists.  Sophomore Jackie Andrade (Seattle, WA) and freshman Emily Marty (Chula Vista, CA) took over the ball-distribution duties in the next two sets, recording a combined 18 assists. Freshman outside hitter Christina Casey (Sherwood, OR) served as the Maroon and Gray's top target, taking 21 swings for nine kills.

Defensively, the Bulldogs put up four total blocks, with freshman opposite hitter Megan Houston leading the charge with three block assists.  From the back row, Burdick provided a team-high 11 digs, while Casey supplied nine and Lux added seven.

Redlands (11-7) takes to the road for a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) match on Tuesday, October 11, when it faces Occidental College at 7 p.m. in Eagle Rock.
