The No. 34 University of Redlands women's tennis team squared off against NCAA Division II opponent, Concordia University – Irvine, on Saturday in an exhibition match on Verdieck Courts.  The Bulldogs suffered a 2-7 loss to the formidable foe while earning one point in doubles and another in singles.

Senior Jackie Lacy (Palm Desert, CA) and junior Karen Kobayashi (Sappora, Japan) put the Maroon and Gray on the board first with a solid 8-2 showing at the No. 3 spot in doubles.  Unfortunately, the Eagles responded with victories in the remaining two matches to take a 2-1 lead.

In singles, the momentum stayed with the visitors, who prevailed in the first three matches off the courts to seal the win.

Nonetheless, first-year Kendall Bolock (Yucaipa, CA) orchestrated an impressive 6-2, 6-4 showing at the No. 3 slot for the Bulldogs' second point of the day.

Redlands (0-0) looks forward to the first regular-season match of 2020 on Saturday, February 15, when it welcomes No. 21 Caltech to Verdieck Courts for a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) tilt at 11 a.m.
