The No. 27 University of Redlands women's tennis team hit the road to take on the Chapman University Panthers in the final match of the regular season.  With poise and skill, the Bulldogs came home with a solid 8-1 win that positions them as the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Tournament.

In Saturday's action, the Maroon and Gray jumped out to an early 3-0 lead with impressive scores in each of the doubles.  Senior Elizabeth Johnson (Portland, OR) and first-year Halle Martinucci (Burlingame, CA) blanked their No. 1 counterpart, while sophomore Lexi Lehman (Scottsdale, AZ) and senior Kate Dolan (St. Louis, MO) fired off an 8-4 win at No. 3.  Sophomore Karen Kobayashi (Sappora, Japan) and junior Jackie Lacy (Palm Desert, CA) finished off the Bulldogs' sweep with their 8-2 performance at the No. 2 slot.

Redlands kept up the intensity in singles, with Lehman coming off the third court with a 6-2, 6-1 win before Martinucci officially sealed the deal at No. 4 with a win by the same scores.

In addition, the Bulldogs gained positive results from Johnson, Dolan, and first-year Danya Wallis (Poulsbo, WA).
