It was announced earlier today that the University of Redlands women's tennis program landed among the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) All-Academic Teams while also producing five ITA Scholar-Athletes for 2017-18.

The Bulldogs' 11 members combined efforts for a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.20 to earn this distinction for the sixth consecutive time.  They join 734 other teams from across the nation in NCAA Division I, II, and III, NAIA, and junior colleges as recipients of this elite honor.

Individually, juniors Kate Dolan (St. Louis, MO) and Elizabeth Johnson (Portland, OR), sophomore Sarah Ikioka (Wailuku, HI), and first-years Karen Kobayashi (Sappora, Japan) and Lily Mitchell (Riverside, CA) reel in Scholar-Athlete status from the ITA.  In order to qualify, they each earned a varsity letter, completed a minimum of two semesters at Redlands, and recorded a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Johnson collects her third such award, while Ikioka and Dolan become two-time recipients.  Mitchell and Kobayashi make their debut among the scholarly list in their first year with the Maroon and Gray.
