The impressive run by the University of Redlands women's tennis team's top doubles duo came to an end on Saturday in Chattanooga, TN. Sophomore Elizabeth Johnson (Portland, OR) and freshman Sarah Ikioka (Wailuku, HI) represented the Bulldogs well in the semifinal match against Eudice Chong and Victoria Yu of Wesleyan University (CT) but came up short against the top-seeded foes, 6-2, 6-2.
The All-America duo from Redlands shined in its first NCAA appearance, earning a pair of three-set wins before falling to the eventual national champions.
This marks one of the best doubles showings by the Bulldog women's tennis program in school history.
