No. 19 Bulldog Women's Tennis Falls to Concordia University - Irvine in First Home Match of Season

The No. 19 University of Redlands women's tennis team took to Verdieck Courts for the first time this season by facing off against the 31st-ranked NCAA Division II foe from Concordia University – Irvine on Thursday afternoon.  The youthful Redlands line-up battled the Eagles but fell short of the upset in a 1-8 decision.

Highlighting the doubles, sophomore Kate Dolan (St. Louis, MO) and junior Claire Bohoskey (Yakima, WA) put together the tightest showing at No. 3.  After trailing early, the duo rallied back to tie it up at six-all but ultimately lost by a score of 6-8.

In singles, freshman Jackie Lacy (Palm Desert, CA) impressed in her Bulldog debut by securing a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles for the Maroon and Gray's only point.

Redlands (0-2) jumps right into Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action on Friday, February 17, by hosting the sixth-ranked Pomona-Pitzer Colleges at 2 p.m.
