Junior Defender Abby Nordquist Represents Redlands on CoSIDA Academic All-District for Women's Soccer

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team for NCAA Division III on Thursday morning and junior defender Abby Nordquist (Gig Harbor, WA) earned her inaugural award from CoSIDA.

CoSIDA's Academic All-District award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Nordquist represents the Bulldogs with an exceptional grade-point average and outstanding soccer statistics.  She is one of 12 recipients among District 8's Division III team and one of four Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) student-athletes represented.

Nordquist played an integral role in Redlands' backline during the 2019 season. She helped the Bulldogs maintain a 1.51 goals-against average and two shutouts this season. She has started in all 17 games this season while providing two goals and an assist for five points.

This Biology major also landed on the SCIAC All-Academic Team, Dean's List, and was named a Redlands Scholar-Athlete for the past two years.

She also excels on the field, named an All-SCIAC First Team member and United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Third Team member in 2018.

Nordquist is now eligible for Academic All-America consideration.
