Senior Midfielder Hanna Morford Selected to IWLCA All-West Region First Team

Earlier today, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) formally announced the 2019 members of the All-Region teams, which included senior midfielder Hanna Morford (West Linn, OR) of the University of Redlands for the second time in her career.  Morford represents the Bulldogs on the All-West Region First Team in her final season.

Morford impressed with her all-in style of play in 15 games as she led the Maroon and Gray in nearly every offensive category.  She tallied a team-high 70 points with 67 goals for the most among the Bulldogs.  Morford also ranked first on the team in successful free-position shots with 18 and draw controls with 85.

In addition, she picked up 30 ground balls and caused 17 opponent turnovers.

Morford registered at least one goal in every game she played this season to extend her scoring streak to 62 games dating back to February 20, 2016.  During her senior campaign, she tallied a hat trick or better in 11 games, with her biggest output coming off a seven-goal showing against Piedmont College (GA) on March 2.  She also reset Redlands' single-game record for draw controls by hauling in 15 against Roger William University (RI) on March 12.

With her First-Team award, Morford is now eligible for possible All-America consideration.  Earlier this season, she was named to the All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) First Team for the third time in a row.
