First-year Midfielder Ashley Rende Claims SCIAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week Award

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and first-year midfielder Ashley Rende (Mission Viejo, CA) has been named the Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in her young career at the University of Redlands.

In addition, she also scooped up nine ground balls and added two goals and an assist on the offensive end in a versatile effort.

Rende is currently tied for fourth on the team with 15 caused turnovers on the season.
