First-Year Joren Fettig Earns SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for Women’s Lacrosse

Following its Spring-Break trip to Tennessee, the University of Redlands women's lacrosse team garnered the Southern Californian Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week for March 11, with first-year attacker/midfielder Joren Fettig (Bend, OR) hauling in the honor for the Bulldogs.

During the team's 13-9 victory over Sewanee, Fettig impacted nearly every aspect of the game with three caused turnovers, four ground balls, and nine draw controls. In the first half, she caused a turnover and then corralled the ground ball that led to the eventual score about 10 seconds later. In the second half, she recorded four draw controls in a 10-minute span and scored a goal with 5:57 to go in the game to complete her first career hat trick.
