U of R Women's Golf Remains at the Top in the Final WGCA Poll

The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) recently released the final poll of the 2021 season with the University of Redlands women's golf team remaining at No. 1 for the third straight poll.

The Maroon and Gray most recently won the 2021 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championship earlier this week by a 54-hole total of 924, 51 strokes in front of second place. The Bulldogs impressively took places first through fifth for an outstanding total-team effort. The squad owns an adjusted scoring average of 76.42 over the season.

Sophomore Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA) led the team with her medalist honors with her three-day total of 227 and registered the only eagle of the competition. In addition, Jugar takes the top spot nationally amongst all Division III schools, with the lowest adjusted scoring average of 73.76.

Five other Bulldogs rank in the top-20 in the Nation, including junior Kendall Nicholson's (Bellevue, WA) 78.03 adjusted scoring average for the sixth spot.
