Sophomore Annie Hay and Senior Keilee Bessho Honored as WGCA Division III All-Americans

As announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Wednesday night, sophomore Annie Hay (University Place, WA) and senior Keilee Bessho (La Cañada, CA) not only landed on the All-West Region Team but they also became NCAA Division III Second-Team All-Americans for the first time in their respective careers.

Hay has been solid all season with an average score of 76.48, which ranks ninth in Division III. She is particularly strong from distance with a par-four scoring average of 4.28 and a par-five scoring average of 5.07, which is sixth and eighth in the country, respectively. At the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) No. 2 Tournament, Hay turned in her lowest rounds of 70 and 72 for a first-place score of 142. Just over a week later at the SCIAC Championships, she finished only one stroke behind the leader with a three-round total of 228, helping her team clinch a second-place finish.

Bessho ranks among the top 20 in the country with a scoring average of 77.62 and a par-four tally of 4.38. Earlier this season, she enjoyed a solid outing at the George Fox Westbrook Invitational, where she tied for second place with a score of 147. She also began the season in September with her lowest round of 71 to finish fourth overall at the California State Intercollegiate.
