No. 9 Bulldog Women's Golf Slips to Ninth Place on Day Two of NCAA Championships

The No. 9 University of Redlands women's golf team concluded the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships in ninth place with a score of 327 on Wednesday at the Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas, for a two-round total of 633.

Senior Keilee Bessho (La Cañada, CA) signed her scorecard with a 77 as the Bulldogs' top finisher for the second day in a row.  She owns a 36-hole total of 152 for a tied-for-13th-place showing. She tapped in birdies on two par-four holes and recorded one on the par-five 11th.

Sophomore Annie Hay (University Place, WA) finished her second round with a score of 78 for a two-day total of 155 for 25th place.

For the second consecutive round, first-year Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA) and sophomore Mariah Moon (La Quinta, CA) mirrored each other's performances.  During Wednesday's action, they each tallied an 86 for a 164-stroke total to move into a five-way tie for 65th. Nicholson made par on 10 holes, while Moon finished even on nine.

Lastly, first-year Dana Condon (Palm Desert, CA) knocked in a birdie on the ninth hole en route to a second-round 88 for a total of 169.

Redlands strives to make the 15-team cut in the third round of the national tournament on Wednesday, May 16.  The Bulldogs tee off at 12:30 p.m. CDT.
