No. 13 Redlands Women's Golf Finishes Third at George Fox Westbrook Invite

The No. 13 University of Redlands women's golf team earned a third-place finish at the George Fox Westbrook Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Westbrook Village Golf Course in Peoria, Arizona. The Bulldogs remained shot an opening-round 304 en route to a 36-hole tally of 611. 

In round one, senior Keilee Bessho (La Cañada, CA) topped the leaderboard with a day-low score of 72 to land in a three-way tie for first place.  She also notched a 72 on day two for an overall score of 147, which placed her in a four-way tie in second place.

While tying for 12th place, sophomore Annie Hay (University Place, WA) also shot a 72 in round one and finished with an overall total of 152. First-year Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA) shot a 78 on the first day before improving by two strokes on the second to finish alongside two others in 16th place.

Sophomores Mariah Moon (La Quinta, CA) and Makayla Sugidono (Scottsdale, AZ) entered the clubhouse with a tally of 158 to tie for 29th. Moon shot an 82 and 76, while Sugidono remained consistent with 79s across the board.

To round out Redlands' competitors, first-year Dana Condon (Palm Desert, CA) also improved in round two with scores of 82 and 80 to tie for 37th.

No other statistics were available at the time of posting.

Redlands takes a week off before hosting the Bulldog Classic on Monday, March 25, and Tuesday, March 26, at the Indian Springs Country Club in Indio.
