The University of Redlands women's golf team competed in the second Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) tournament of the season at Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena on Saturday and Sunday. Senior Caroline Ordian's (Palm Desert, CA) medalist honor helped the team to its fifth-place result. Overall, the team showed consistency by shooting a 328 on each day to finish the tournament with a 656.

Ordian sat in 10th place after the first round with a 78 before returning on day two to shoot an incredible tournament-low 71 to take the top spot with a 149 total.

First-year Elise Kiya (Palo Alto, CA) came next with a tied-for-11th-place finish. She shot a personal best as a Bulldog on day one with a solid 77 over 18 holes. She continued to battle with an 82 on day two for a 156.

First-years Annie Hay (University Place, WA) and Emily Duncan (Murrieta, CA) followed with similar totals for 28th and tied-for-31st place with only two strokes separating them. Hay signed her scorecard with a 173 (86-87), while Duncan finished with a 175 (87-88).

Rounding out the Redlands women's golfers, first-year Makayla Sugidono (Scottsdale, AZ) recorded a 189 by shaving off three strokes from her first round to score a 93 on Sunday.

The Bulldogs look forward to competing at the three-day SCIAC Championship Tournament, beginning on Sunday, April 22, at Los Serranos Golf Course in Chino Hills.
