Top-Notch Trio Drives in Success as WGCA All-American Scholars

It was announced earlier today that three members of the University of Redlands women's golf team were tabbed All-American Scholars by the Women's Collegiate Golf Association (WGCA).  Seniors Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) and Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA), and junior Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) represent the Bulldogs on the list of more than 950 women to be recognized for exceptional academic achievement as collegiate golfers. This talented trio exemplifies the true meaning of "student-athlete" by exceeding the minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, which ranks as one of the most stringent scholarly criteria in college sports.

After completing degrees in Accounting, the Gordon sisters each receive this honor for the fourth and final time in their solid careers with the Maroon and Gray. Ordian becomes a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar as a Business Administration major. Overall, they own various academic achievements, including Dean's List, Redlands Scholar-Athlete, and SCIAC All-Academic Team selection.

While representing the ideals of scholarly and athletic success, K. Gordon, R. Gordon, and Ordian have led the Bulldogs to a pair of Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) championships and two NCAA appearances over the last three years.  Individually, they each boast numerous All-SCIAC awards, including Ordian's three-peat as the SCIAC Athlete of the Year.
