Junior Caroline Ordian Wins GFU Westbrook Invitational to Propel Bulldog Women's Golf to Fourth-Place Finish

The No. 8 University of Redlands women's golf team took on quality foes from around the country at the 2017 George Fox Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, AZ, on Saturday and Sunday.  As highlighted by junior Caroline Ordian's (Palm Desert, CA) medalist honors, the Bulldogs finished fourth with a two-day total of 614 (319-295).

Ordian carded an opening round of 77 but showed solid improvement with a 70 to complete the tournament in a tie for first place at 147.  She won the first playoff hole to secure the individual championship while also collecting All-Tournament honors.  Overall, she led the field in par-four scoring with a minus-one 3.95 to go along with five birdies and 23 pars.

Freshman Jasmine Hsu (Fremont, CA) impressed by tying for eighth with a 36-hole score of 151 (76-75) that included four birdies and 20 pars on the weekend.

Senior Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) eliminated 11 strokes from her tough opening round to enter the clubhouse with a total of 155 (83-72) for a 16th-place tie.  She also recorded 20 pars and five birdies in the two-day outing.

Seniors Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) and Jenna Durette (Oceanside, CA) completed the Bulldog scorers with 36-hole tallies of 161 and 162, respectively. Durette knocked in 19 pars.

Redlands looks forward to hosting the Ogio Bulldog Classic at the Indian Springs Country Club in Indio on Monday, March 27, and Tuesday, March 28.
