Bulldog Women's Golf Takes Third at Culturame Classic

The University of Redlands women's golf team competed in its second fall tournament by traveling to Aloha, OR, for the Culturame Classic at the Reserve & Vineyard Golf Club on Friday and Saturday.  With junior Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) leading the charge, the Bulldogs finished third with a two-round total of 637 (318-319).

Ordian paced the Bulldogs with her 36-hole tally of 155 (79-76). Senior Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) recorded a score of 161 to tie for 11th, while senior Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) entered the clubhouse with rounds of 76 and 87 for a tied-for-15th-place score of 163. 

Freshman Jasmine Hsu (Fremont, CA) recorded a 164 by shaving off eight strokes from her opening round (86-78), as senior Jenna Durette (Oceanside, CA) also showed improvement with an 88 and then an 81. 

Finally, freshman Paige Phillips (Danville, CA) scored 171 (82-89) in her second collegiate tournament.

Redlands faces a tight turnaround by facing Cal Lutheran University in a head-to-head, non-conference match on Sunday, October 2, at the Jurupa Hills Golf Club.
