Bulldog Women's Golf Shines with Second-Place Showing at Culturame Classic

The University of Redlands women's golf team competed in its second and final tournament of the fall portion of the season by taking on quality foes at the Culturame Classic in Aloha, Oregon, on Saturday and Sunday.  With senior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) pacing the team with her second-place showing, the Bulldogs also finished second in the team standings with a 36-hole total of 633, which was 10 strokes off the leaders from the host school, George Fox University (OR).

Dorsey provided incredibly consistent results with two rounds of 75 to lead the Maroon and Gray. 

Sophomore Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) posted the second-best score in the opening round, as she carded a 73, which was two strokes off of the leader.  She completed the tournament with a 78 to tie for third place.

Senior McKenna Pautsch (San Clemente, CA) knocked off nine strokes from her first 18 holes to record a two-day total of 167 (88-79).  Junior Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) tallied a score of 169 (82-87), while junior Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) came into clubhouse just two strokes behind her sister (85-86).

Redlands begins the spring portion of the season on Monday, February 8, and Tuesday, February 9, by competing in the Super San Diego Championships at the Riverwalk Golf Course.
