The No. 6 University of Redlands women's golf team continued its inaugural journey at the NCAA Division III Championships on Wednesday by posting a second-round total of 333 to remain within striking distance of the top of the leaderboard through 36 holes.  Now in third place, the Bulldogs sit nine strokes behind the leaders from Washington University (MO) and six strokes shy of second-place Williams College (MA).

Freshman Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) remained true to form with her consistency by signing her day-two scorecard with the same tally as yesterday's opening round. She notched 15 pars on the day to post another 75 and move up two slots in the individual standings to second place.  Overall in the tournament, she leads the competitive field with 28 pars after two days of action.

Sophomore Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) shaved off six strokes from her first-round score, recording nine pars and one birdie for an 81.  After jumping up 18 spots on the player leaderboard, she currently sits in a tie for 42nd overall.

In addition, senior Dalton Meade (Sandy, OR) came off the course with an 85, while juniors Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) and McKenna Pautsch (San Clemente, CA) both battled through a tough 18 holes for a second-day score of 92.

Through two rounds of championship golf, Redlands leads all teams with a par-four scoring average of 4.57 and ranks third among the tournament with 13 birdies and 86 pars.

The Bulldogs look forward to a later tee time during Thursday's third round, beginning at 1:05 p.m. ET at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.
