Tucker Cargile Crushes 1500m School Record at Brian Clay Invitational

AZUSA, Calif. – Senior mid-distance runner Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) of the University of Redlands Men's Track & Field team competed in the 1500m during the Brian Clay Invitational this past week.

Cargile raced to a 3rd place finish in the Open "A" section out of 100 competitors posting a time of 3:46.57, which beat out runners from Chico State, North Texas, Claremont-M-S, Pomona-Pitzer, Boise State, UC Davis, Cal Baptist, Oklahoma Christian, Colorado, Air Force, UCLA, Iowa State, Cal State Fullerton, Iowa, and Colorado State, just to name a few. 

His time crushed the University of Redlands school record, which was a 3:47.80, set by Tarn Kuang-Chia back in 1975. 

He now ranks No. 3 in the Division III National Rankings.
