Redlands Track & Field Registers All-America Finishes on Final Day of NCAA Outdoor Championships

The University of Redlands track & field teams achieved four more All-America performances on the final day of competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio, on Saturday.

The men's 4x100 Relay of senior Luke Bohlinger (Mercer Island, WA), junior Maliq Champion (Beaumont, CA), and sophomores Cooper Malerstein (Huntington Beach, CA) and Domanick Murray (Palm Springs, CA) made their way onto the All-America podium with an eighth-place finish in 42.82.

Junior Jessica Fields (Las Vegas, NV) locked in her second All-America effort in the 100 Hurdles with today's third-place time of 14.01, which marks the highest finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships of her career. She also became an All-American in the 400 Hurdles for the first time as a Bulldog by completing the race in 1:01.42 for seventh place.

In addition, sophomore Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) collected the first All-America honor of his career with a fourth-place time of 1:52.87 in the 800 Meters.

The women's 4x100 Relay struggled through a tough start to the day and was disqualified.  

Junior Chyenne Kimble (Big Bear Lake, CA) also competed in the 100 Hurdles and ran a 14.23 for ninth place.

As a team, the Bulldog women finished in a tie for 12th place with 18 points.

Redlands concludes its terrific season with All-America standards in five different events, including graduate student Reyna Ta'amu's (Lakewood, CA) National Championship in the Shot Put, which came on Friday.
