Junior Hurdler Jessica Fields Earns SCIAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week for Second Time

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced earlier today that for the second time in two weeks, junior Jessica Fields (Las Vegas, NV) has been named the Women's Track Athlete of the Week for another impressive performance.

During the SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 3, Fields won both of the hurdle events to help the fourth-ranked University of Redlands women's team finish off an 8-0 conference season. In addition, she won each of her events during all three of the conference multi-dual meets this year. On Saturday, she unleashed a winning time of 14.23 in the 100 Hurdles and earned a first-place mark of 1:01.77 in the 400 Hurdles. She also ran on the second-place 4x400 Relay that clocked a time of 4:05.75.

Fields currently owns the fastest time in NCAA Division III in the 100 Hurdles (14.18) and the 400 Hurdles (1:01.77).
