Redlands Track & Field Concludes Day One of NCAA Division III Indoor Championships

The University of Redlands track & field's largest class of qualifiers at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships gained experience on day one of the event in Boston, Massachusetts, on Friday.

Junior Chyenne Kimble (Big Bear Lake, CA) competed in the 60 Hurdles in the morning and finished 12th with a time of 8.94 in her first-ever appearance.  She ran just one-tenth of a second off of the final qualifying spot for the final.

As the first men's competitor from Redlands, sophomore Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) represented the Bulldogs in the Mile and placed 17th with a time of 4:18.51. His fastest split of 31.739 came on the third of eight laps.

The Bulldogs look forward to cheering on graduate student Reyna Ta'amu (Lakewood, CA), who will compete as the top seed in the Shot Put at 8 a.m. PT on Saturday, March 9.
