Senior Sprinter Luke Bohlinger Honored as SCIAC Track Athlete of the Week

Senior sprinter Luke Bohlinger (Mercer Island, WA) represented the University of Redlands among the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's (SCIAC) weekly awards as the Men's Track Athlete of the Week for February 25-March 3.

Bohlinger played an instrumental role in the Bulldogs' victories over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and Cal Lutheran University during the SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 1 on Saturday.  Despite the wet conditions, he won the 100 Meters with a time of 11.04 and topped the competition in the 200 by crossing the line in 22.61.  Furthermore, he ran the first leg of the 4x100 Relay that won the race in 41.92 for crucial points in the team scoring.

Bohlinger and the Bulldog track & field teams look forward to cheering on their three qualifiers from afar during the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on Friday, March 8, and Saturday, March 9. In addition, Redlands competes at the Oxy Distance Carnival and Sprint Festival on Saturday, March 9, at 4 p.m. in Eagle Rock.
