It was announced earlier today that first-year Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) of the University of Redlands was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week.
During the Oxy Distance Carnival Spring Break Classic on Saturday, Cargile uncorked the fastest 800 time of the season in NCAA Division III at 1:54.53. He completed the race in third place behind competitors from Division I and II. This mark also ranked as the fastest of his young career as a Bulldog.
Cargile hauls in Redlands' first such honor of the 2018 track & field season.
