The University of Redlands track & field teams competed in the first Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Multi-Dual Meet of the season, earning split results between the men and women.  The Bulldog women came out on top against Cal Lutheran University (90-73) and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (81.50-80.50), but the Maroon and Gray men fell short against both opponents, which included a two-point loss to the Kingsmen.

The Redlands women produced multiple top-three finishers at the meet, as highlighted by senior Lauren Roberts (Portland, OR) with her first-place showing in the 5000 Meters with a time of 18:42.30.  Junior Jessika Snincsak (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) fired off a second-place time of 19:19.60 in the same event.

Furthermore, junior Alison Smith (McKinleyville, CA) won the 100 Hurdles by uncorking a time of 15.44, before joining forces with sophomore Courtney Crain (Happy Valley, OR), junior Jasmine Ramos (Santa Fe Springs, CA), and freshman Kara Romani (Sacramento, CA) in the 4x100 Relay to break the tape in 49.56.

Smith added to her solid day with a first-place heave in the Shot Put that landed at 35' 5 ¼".  Ramos also shined in the 100 Meters with a second-place time of 12.59.

In the field events, sophomore Vanessa Blanchard (Palmdale, CA) continued to impress by clearing a height of 5-3 for first place in the High Jump.  Sophomore Mandy Widen (Vail, AZ) prevailed in the Pole Vault with a mark of 10' 11 ½".  Finally, senior Kylie Scott (Snohomish, WA) offered consistency and versatility in all three of her throws to earn top-three marks.  In the Shot Put, she reached a distance of 34' 2" for second place and earned a second-place toss of 111' 6" in the Hammer Throw.  She capped off her quality outing with a third-place mark of 102' 6" in the Discus Throw.

For the men, senior Joey Colucci (San Jose, CA) and junior Myles Speegle (Castro Valley, CA) provided strong showings in the sprints.  Colucci led off a 1-2 punch in the 100 Meters with a time of 10.92, which Speegle closely followed at 10.99.  In the 200 Meters, Colucci took first (22.36), while Speegle finished third (22.53).  The dynamic duo also contributed to the winning 4x100 Relay that crossed the finish line in 42.02. Sophomore Dale Stoller (Santa Cruz, CA) and freshman Nathan Munoz (Rio Rancho, NM) completed the fast-paced quartet for the Bulldogs.

In addition, Munoz uncorked a first-place time of 15.03 in the 110 Hurdles.

Sophomore Afari La-Anyane (Morgan Hills, CA) enjoyed an excellent meet, earning first place in the Triple Jump with a distance of 43' 2 ¼", while taking third in the High Jump (5' 8 ¾") and the Pole Vault (10' 5 ½").
