Senior Bulldog Swimmer Wendy McAleer Tabbed as CSCAA Scholar All-American

The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) named University of Redlands swimming & diving senior Wendy McAleer (Simi Valley, CA) to the Scholar All-America Team that included 1,221 swimmers and divers from all divisions. She gained this honor for her academic achievement of 3.5 or higher as a competitor at the national meet.

McAleer earns the first Scholar All-America honor of her career following an impressive showing in the classroom and the pool. In only her second year with the Bulldog swimming & diving team, McAleer entered the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships as a qualifier for the 100 Fly. She went on to place 27th with her second-fastest time in her career of 56.71 while also accomplishing a career-best time in with 200 Fly at 2:05.98 for 24th place. She also represented the Bulldogs with two All-Conference nods this season.
